Financial Literacy begins with early awareness, students should start early learning how to manage personal finances and educating themselves on the various forms of financial aid before making financial decisions. Scholarships are forms of aid that help students pay for their education. Unlike student loans, scholarships do not have to be repaid. Do your research to determine what schools offer scholarships like the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), this is a standardized test administered by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). A scholarship is based on merit and awarded to a student, for the purpose of attending a college.Your senior year in high school is a great time; senior year is also about making plans and decisions.
